The Santa Rita Club
Our most cherished volunteer source is the Santa Rita Club.  This organization was established on July 9, 1975, with 28 charter members under the direction of Mrs. Charles Cole.  The first general meeting was held on November 5, 1975.  The group assisted in the Museum Store, set up docent training programs and published a newsletter and yearbook.  Since then, Santa Rita Club volunteers have donated countless hours to the operations of the Museum through their work in the Museum Store, educational programs, school tours, puppet shows and the archives and library.  They are the lifeblood of the Petroleum Museum – thank you Santa Ritans!
