June 26, 2026 – Coding with SAM Labs

Location: Permian Basin Petroleum Museum

High School/Middle School/Elementary (6 hours)

Using SAM Labs technology, teachers will explore how to integrate coding, engineering, and problem-solving into everyday lessons—no prior coding experience required! Walk away with practical strategies and engaging activities that will spark student curiosity and creativity.

As an added bonus, educators who attend will have the opportunity to bring SAM Labs equipment into their own classrooms, extending the learning experience beyond the workshop and giving students direct access to innovative, hands-on technology.

Permian Basin Petroleum Museum is a TEA-Approved Provider.

Participants will receive 6 CEU/CPEs for this workshop.

Registration is required and cost is FREE.

Workshop is open to any formal or informal educator.

July 27, 2026 – Nature of a Classroom

Location: Sibley Nature Center

High School/Middle School/Elementary (6 hours)

Join us and other area Museums and Education Directors to learn more about Museums, Nature Centers, Programs, Outreach, and Field Trip Opportunities here in West Texas.  The Petroleum Museum, Museum of the Southwest, Sibley Nature Center, and the Bush Family Home will be represented.  secure.qgiv.com/…/sibleynatureofaclassroomjuly27

We will begin the day with a Sibley Field Trip outline, complete with a nature hike, feeding ducks, stopping in the education garden, and museum.  After Lunch we will meet the rest of our presenters in the AC, inside the auditorium and Llano Room. Lessons are TEKS-aligned and fun!

Sibley Nature Center is a TEA-Approved Provider.

Participants will receive 6 CEU/CPEs for this workshop.

Registration is required and cost is FREE.

Workshop is open to any formal or informal educator.

Workshop is limited to 40 registrants.  Please let us know if you cannot attend to allow spots for others.
