Sibley Nature Center – Misty Thomason, Education Director

11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Sibley Nature Center has been a staple in the Midland community for over 40 years.  The Center’s grounds offer an unobstructed view of nature right in the middle of the city.  The site, located in the corner of Hogan Park hosts 49 acres of trails, wildlife, and native plants. Through programs and field trips, Sibley’s education department shares the importance of nature with students and visitors. Sibley’s Education Director, Misty Thomason, will join us to discuss the origins of the Sibley Nature Center, where they are now, and what they have planned for the future!  She will also highlight their first new exhibit in 20 years designed by Sibley’s Museum Scientist, Michael Nickel. Join us as we welcome one of the Petroleum Museum’s community partners!

Free admission. Desserts & drinks provided.
